Hand of GOD Music Christian Rock / Worship Project Psalm 101:1 -  “I will sing of Your love and justice; to You, O Lord, I will sing praise.”
Hand of GOD Music What exactly is Hand of GOD Music?  Well, it’s many things.  First and foremost it’s the knowledge and belief that nothing in this world would be possible without our Creator allowing for it.  That would come right down to the air that we breath and to the music that we make.  How many people give it a thought?  How many musicans have thought about it?  You wouldn’t be making any music if you had no air to breath.  You wouldn’t even exist! I’ve been a musician most of my life.  I’ve played in numerous rock bands that gigged locally and some regionally.  Ah yes the wonderful rock and roll lifestyle of upscale clubs to cheap bars, to large outdoor events, all night parties, and back again.  Was it fun?  I won’t lie, it was a blast!  If I could turn back the clock and do it all over again would I do so?  I would probably say yes, I’m a musician and it’s in my blood.  Would I do things differently?  ABSOLUTELY!  But when you’re young sometimes foresight isn’t one’s best virtue.  The word virtue is a great segue back to what Hand Of God Music is … Hand of GOD Music is not only a project, a recording studio, or a collection of songs.  It has become a lifestyle.  It’s my personal relationship and walk with God through music.  Intellectually I may play and/or create the music but most often it’s devinely brought upon me.  One just knows and feels those certain moments when creativity strikes that it didn’t come from them.  No sir, it came from above! I became a born again Christian at a local church where I live in 2013.  I went on to play on their praise and worship team for nearly two years.  I’ll admit while it was a very rewarding experience for me, a year and a half in … my heart was telling me I needed something more.  I am sometimes cursed with being a perfectionist, but that’s okay.  If you can’t be a percfectionist for God, always striving to learn and be your best, than who can you be your best for?  The world?  Without God there would be no world! So I created and purchased the web domain Hand of God Music specifically to reflect my musical journey with God.  To help showcase some of my material in a way that it will attract other like minded musicians, who may be looking for a different path.  I believe God has chosen musical paths for all of us, some within a church and some outside of the church, and maybe even a mixture of both.  The time has come though to form a group and see where the path leads.  Please read below the Leadership section, then go on to the Musicians Wanted page.
Leadership! WHO’S YOUR CAPTAIN? Yes, it comes with a band or musical group too!  Someone usually has to lead and direct the course of musicians to some degree.  That's why professional groups and artists have agents, managers, and producers.  Musicians left to themselves can often lead to chaos!  Until one reaches a level of success if you will, having a manager is probably not affordable or worth the expense at the onset. So a member of the band usually takes on that role.  And that would usually be the person who initiated the formation of the band.  So yes, that would be me.  I would be the captain of the ship.  But, we would all be the crew!  We would all have a say.  We would all have a vote when it came to anything of importance and band related.  Any of us should be able to call a meeting, formal or informal to discuss whatever it may be relating to the band.  If it's something one doesn't like or care for then let it be known.  Communication with one another is very important to keep everyone happy.  Every member should always keep this in mind.  What is best for the band?  If someone is dead set on singing a particular  song, but another member can sing it better;  that song must go to the member who sings it better.  This would even include myself sucking it up if I were in those shoes and insisted on singing a particular song.  Hey, if someone else can do it better, more power to them!  It just tells me maybe I need more practice, or the song just isn't suited for me.  So maybe I'll just sing back up vocals on it? One must always think in terms of what will make this band sound the best.  I'm sure everyone is familiar with the Beatles.  Ringo Starr had a limited role as a singer with them.  Simply because he just wasn't that good of a singer.  He could play the drums though!  The Beatles knew this, and their manager knew it.  So every now and then a song would come along that Ringo was able to sound half way decent on. It was accepted that he would sing on those songs only.  The rest of the songs were left up to Paul and John because they were better vocalists. This band should be no different.  This band is not being created to see who emerges a superstar or who doesn't.  It's being created as a collective effort to create wonderful, beautiful, and majestic music for God.  Whoever gets what part, or doesn't shouldn't matter if you're thinking right.  The part will go to the right person.  Diversity amongst members can be a good thing.  But, diversity just for the sake of mixing it up shouldn’t be employed at the cost of quality music being delivered.  Case in point is why we see most professional band members of any genre adhering to their particular role within the band.  Only on occasion do we see them changing up instruments or taking on different vocal roles.  This is evident even within the Christian music genre.
Thank You And God Bless!

Details as to rehearsal schedules, time and place, will all be worked out once members are chosen and begin to assemble.  If you have any demo material in the way of Youtube videos, audio recordings of you playing or singing, or songs you've covered or written that I can hear, please direct me to them via my email address.  Lastly let's talk about age and/or any restrictions.  I really don't want to put any age restrictions on this project but I feel I must let who ever reads this know that I am a young 60 year old.  Remember I have a rock and roll background ... LOL! So, I probably would prefer musicians who are in there 40's 50's and 60 something age.  But if you're 30 something and rock that's fine too.  If you don't mind I don't mind!  Without giving my home address out yet, I will tell you that I live in the Northern Colorado area.  You may be wondering in case you see this as to if you're in the immediate area.   The only other requirement would be that you posses your own personal gear for your instrument and such.  And, have transportation to make it to rehearsal(s) once things start rolling.  I have sound reinforcement equipment for a good start ... anything extra you might bring to the table could be a plus.
